**Update May 4th, 2021**

I hope your week is starting off well.

On April 27, 2021, the CDC released updated healthcare infection prevention recommendations in response to COVID-19 vaccination. Fully vaccinated patients and visitors are now able to visit in the Center without the requirement to wear face masks during the visit. While core infection control principles remain in place, including wearing a face mask when traveling to and from the visitation area inside the Center, we are moving closer to returning to normal operations.

We have a busy week ahead. Nurses Week is May 6-12, and we have celebrations scheduled during the week in recognition of the care and compassion shown by our nursing staff. The week will conclude with Mother’s Day visits featuring coffee and pastries. Click the link to our website below to schedule a visit.

County Positivity Rate:  Decreased to 3.7%.
Testing Frequency for Staff and Patients:  Staff are tested weekly based on county positivity rate. Patients are tested as needed based on symptoms or exposure.
PPE: The supply remains adequate. Staff receive ongoing education on appropriate PPE utilization.
Visitation: Virtual, outdoor, and indoor visitation are currently available. Click this link to schedule a visit: https://dulles-rehab.com/patient-visitations.

As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

Leslie Ruffner, LNHA
