**Update August 25th, 2021**

As you may be aware, the Biden administration is planning to issue a mandate requiring nursing home staff to become vaccinated against COVID-19. Prior to this announcement, the Center announced that COVID-19 vaccination was mandatory for our staff effective July 19, 2021. We are very pleased to see that the administration recognizes the value of vaccination in the nursing home setting and hope that a similar mandate will follow for all healthcare workers who treat vulnerable patients.

County Positivity Rate:  Increased to 5.4%.
Testing: While in an outbreak, patients and staff are tested every 3-7 days until the Center is 14 days without a positive test result.
PPE: The supply remains adequate. Staff receive ongoing education on appropriate PPE utilization.
Visitation: Virtual and outdoor visitation are currently available.  Indoor visitation is temporarily suspended until the initial round of outbreak testing is conducted.
